In Spring 2015, I was one of 9 individuals elected to serve on the Student and Early Career Council (SECC) of the Society for Research on Child Development (SRCD). SRCD is an international professional organization in the field of developmental science with 14 committees. SECC members are a part of SRCD’s administrative structure. Each SECC member serves to represent student and early career members on one of eight of the other committees, in addition to functioning together as a separate committee dedicated to advancing benefits for student and early career members throughout the organization.
From 2015-2019, I will serve as the SECC Representative to the Teaching Committee. My primary objective during this time will be to help create a series of teaching resources from data collected as part of SRCD’S Oral History Project. You can learn more about SECC here and discover the Oral History Project here.
